About UsThe Event Professionals is a full service event management company. Our team of planners has over 15 years of experience and has worked in all areas of the hospitality industry to ensure a well-rounded event management approach. We organize small to large meetings, conferences and a variety of special events from receptions, weddings, festivals to fundraisers.

Marva Lewis, President of the Event Professionals, started TEP in 2000 to help meet the growing meeting and event planning needs of small businesses and non-profit organizations in the Metropolitan Washington, DC Area. Formerly, the Meetings/Events Director for the National Breast Cancer Coalition, she brings a wealth of experience and insight to clients on event and meeting management. During her tenure with NBCC, Ms. Lewis created the Meetings/Events Department. She is also a cum laude graduate of Howard University and has studied advanced course work on meeting and event management.
